Owner/Operators, Pam & Peter Rackley have worked in the training sector for more than 10 years. As a former member of the RAAF, Peter has had experience training apprentices and adult trainees in the maintenance of aircraft engines. Since leaving the RAAF Peter has worked in a number of industries culminating in using his wide knowledge as a trainer.
Pam & Peter started their own training business 10 years ago and have spent most of that time working with other Registered Training Organisations providing accredited training on the Sunshine Coast, in Gympie and recently in Brisbane.
Just after coming back to Brisbane, they were offered the opportunity to acquire an already functioning forklift licencing business. Forklift Operator Training Services had been operating for some years and had an excellent reputation with many repeat customers.
Pam & Peter took over the business in April 2006 and have since expanded the customer base providing onsite training and assessment. When the licencing system changed in 2007, decisions had to be made regarding how the business would continue. |

After 12 months working with a Registered Training Organisation Pam & Peter decided to apply to have Forklift Operator Training Services accredited as a Registered Training Organisation. 12 months after receiving accreditation, TLI Warehousing and Road Transport were added to the list of accredited training courses offered.
First Options Training Solutions now offers a range of training for all types of business and will over the next 12 months increase its scope of registration to include more of the popular accredited courses with emphasis on traineeships allowing businesses to have accredited training for their staff through government funding.
