The licencing system for Plant & Equipment changed
on 1st July 2007
How will this effect operators of this equipment?
Licencing now must include at least 40 hours of training
for inexperienced operators.
Experienced operators must produce evidence of their experience or do the complete training and assessment process.
We can provide onsite accredited training and assessment services
To ensure organisations keep costs down, onsite training can be conducted in the following manner;
Our trainer/assessor comes to the site to sign up the driver to a training plan, issue a log book and learner guide and conducts a training induction session to ensure driver is competent enough to drive under instruction.
A licenced supervisor is appointed from the organisation and they conduct the 40 hours of training on site.
The trainer/assessor returns to conduct the assessment process when the supervisor and the trainer/assessor consider the driver competent to drive unsupervised.
Please be aware, with onsite training there is a requirement that a representative from the organisation sign a 'client service contract' prior to the training commencing, allowing the trainer/assessor access to the site for training purposes and that the equipment used will be maintained and serviced according to the manufacturers recommendations for the duration of the training.
We can also conduct off site training & assessment, however the venue is at Acacia Ridge and costs may be prohibitive for those with no experience at all. Please ask if you require further information about this service.
